The Lost Interview: Chagit bat Leah z”l (Video)

The Lost Interview: Chagit bat Leah z”l (Video)

3 years ago, I interviewed 25 JewishMOMs for my Mini-Mom Video Series. And among those mothers was my dear friend, Chagit bat Leah Lozon z”l, who passed away after a devastating battle with cancer last month. Those of you who have been following this blog for a while know that Chagit was a 39-year-old mother of 5 small children. She was pure faith, pure kindness, pure dedication to her children and husband and the Jewish people. So, following Chagit’s death, you can imagine how incredibly disappointing it was for me that I no longer had a copy of Chagit’s interview, which I was unable to include in the original videos because of her not-so-perfect English.

And you can imagine how equally overjoyed I was when this week, “by coincidence” (the Hebrew word for “Coincidence” Mikreh, can be respelled to read “Rak Mi’Hashem” Only from G-d!) I refound Chagit’s interview stashed away in a random file on my computer… I love this video because it captures Chagit so perfectly, I think. And I think it will give you a sense of why I and so many hundreds of other people miss Chagit bat Leah so very terribly…

  2. Thank you so much for posting this. For months I was davening for Chagit bas Leah and I thought I never knew her but she lived on the corner house near the little park. I was wondering where she and her family went and now I realise who she was. Rest on high beautiful sister. I’ll always remember the vitality pouring out of her home and that corner will never be the same.
