Netanyahu: Roosevelt was a Breslover

Special thanks to Yedidya Meir of Radio Kol Chai for featuring this story, and for sending me the link:

The Israeli News of the 2nd Channel featured a news report about Prime Minister Netanyahu and his wife Sara’s sporty stroll yesterday between the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials in Washington. When they arrived at the Roosevelt Memorial, Netanyahu told the reporter:

Prime Minister Netanyahu:
“The only thing we need to be afraid of is fear.
The only thing we need to fear is fear itself.
Did you ever hear of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov?
Do you know what he said?
He said, ‘All of the world is a very narrow bridge, and the main thing is to have no fear at all.’
You see!
Roosevelt was apparently a Chassid of the Rebbe!”

I’m happy to hear that Netanyahu will have Rebbe Nachman in his heart when he makes his much anticipated speech to the Joint Session of Congress later today.

Hebrew-speakers can watch the news report here, after the commercial at 2:00. Guaranteed to make you smile!

  1. Just another reason to love Bibi. I can’t help myself, even if he does make some monumental gaffes, pardon the pun.
