This Week’s Mommy Peptalk: Remembering Rabbi Dan Merzbach zt”l
This week’s video is a tribute to a great man and tsaddik who was tragically killed last week by accident by an Israeli soldier.
In addition to the incredible stories about Rabbi Merzbach that I mention in the video, his niece, Batsheva Samet, told me a few more incredible stories about her Uncle Dan. She told me that at the shiva she found out that for years Rabbi Merzbach had studied every single morning with the orphans left behind after 2 fathers from his settlement were murdered by terrorists. She also related that Rabbi Merzbach had been an extremely active and rambunctious child, and at one point in his youth he decided to dedicate his incredible amounts of energy to learning Torah and the performance of good deeds.
What a tragic loss for his family and the Jewish people as a whole…
