I had a falling out with a family member in the last few days where I felt totally justified in my behaviour and had been blaming her for everything. On the back of this pep talk I decided to make the first positive move and sent her flowers for Yom tov with an apologetic note. Thank you. I hope it will bring a bit for shalom into the world and by me trying to judge her favourably, I will be judged favourably too. But did that hope for midda keneged midda make my action a bit selfish then?

Well-said, Chana Jenny. As the scriptures tell us that man looks at the outward appearance, but Hashem looks at the heart. Shana Tova.
