A Very Small Miracle

A Very Small Miracle

Yesterday, on the way to the grocery store I passed by this sign below. I know what Jerusalem Forest is, but what in the world is a Pi Glilot?

pi glilot

I wondered about that for a few seconds and then completely forgot about it.

And then, about an hour and a half later, on my way home from the supermarket I stopped by to pick up a hard-earned felafel on my way home (felafel is my favorite food, and my set reward if I manage to do something I realllly don’t want to do, as I had the evening before that shopping trip). But the felafel balls were still frying.

So I was sort of spacing out while the man at the felafel restaurant prepared trays of packaged lunches. As the minutes passed, I noticed that the man was preparing the lunches based on an order which had been faxed to him from…Pi Glilot: Oil Storage Company.

Recently, my mom asked me, “Jenny, do you believe in Divine Providence.”

I was a little taken aback and then said, “Well, yeah. I do!”

But the truth is more complicated than that. I believe that there is Divine Providence when we believe in Divine Providence. That when we open our heart to messages and miracles, Hashem pours them into our lives…

Some big and some as small as a Pi Glilot.

  1. It’s true, I also feel this way

  2. There is hashgacha pratit whether or not we believe it. But perhaps our emunah, belief, in this Providence earns us more of it

  3. As our awareness of it increases, we enjoy it more.
