Joe’s Violin (24-Minute Academy-Award Nominee Video)

Joe’s Violin (24-Minute Academy-Award Nominee Video)

In this remarkably moving video, a Holocaust survivor donates his violin to a local instrument drive, touching the life of a schoolgirl from America’s poorest congressional district. The video’s message of hope and rebuilding following tragedy is so powerful, I think I cried continuously for all of its 24 minutes.

This video may not be suitable for sensitive male viewers.

  1. Joe’s Violin was one of the most moving films I have ever seen. There is so much packed into it – love of music, history, the heights that a human being can go despite extreme adversity, helping someone even though Brianna was not known to Joe, changing her future, Joe’s passing on his hope to Brianna, changing the future of her family, and so much more. I love the film.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH

  2. Really was moved by this. Thank you

  3. I’m always so cynical when I’m told something is going to have me in tears. Well, I also spent most of it with tears rolling down my face. So beautiful. The continuation of hope and life and music and joy.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
