Regarding lack of focus. Some of my children also had this problem. I was hesitant to get an official diagnosis because.
1 I was concerned they would use it as an excuse and stop trying.
2 Since they had other abilities which made them dreamers, artistic, poetic, animal lovers, cooking and baking etc.
I was concerned that medication would “turn off” their capacity for other things while they focused on math, handwriting and the other “disciplines” of school.
Just my personal opinion. I am in no way an expert.
Yes! Miracles happen!!! Incredible :))) Hatzlacha with your current challenges. It has been helping my daughter to feel more social belonging in school when we invite a classmate over to play after school and they can bond one-on-one, without the cruelty of the pack mentality that happens in school…2 cents 😉
