Natanel Haziza: What the 21-Year Wait Taught Us About How to Achieve Your Dreams (1-Minute Inspirational Video)

Advice on how to (and how not to) achieve the things we desire in life.
(I added English captions to this video which have mysteriously disappeared! In the meantime, here is a translation…)
We learned a great deal from the process we went through, I will share one thing with you.
I think that what we went through can provide inspiration and encouragement to many other people who are facing all sorts of delays in life–in making a living, in finding a spouse, in having a baby.
It’s often said, “אין דבר העומד בפני הרצון” (nothing can withstand desire) and we imagine in our perfectionism that if we need to achieve something that is difficult to achieve, then we need to be burning up inside with very strong and clear desire that doesn’t waver for a moment with pure faith.
That isn’t exactly a description of what we went through. I think it took us years to strengthen and clarify this desire [to become parents]. We received encouragement from various people along the way. And sometimes one small action led to something else happening.
But one doesn’t have to reach such a strong, clear, unhesitating desire in order to take acts of faith and the progress towards your goal.
In the famous words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, “המעשה הוא העיקר,” [taking action is the most important thing.]
And sometimes, more important than the feeling we would like to experience within us, the truest and strongest expression of our faith is just taking the next step [towards your goal], one more small step [on the way to achieving your dream].

i made subtitles, which have mysteriously disappeared! I hope they will come back…

  2. I love this. It’s just like you always say, “What is my next step in avodat Hashem? I’m going to take one small step towards my goal.”
So beautiful and moving – the baby and the way they relate to the journey. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into their inner world. We should continue to see miracles 🙂
