In Eulogy by Son of Rabbi Ettinger HY”D: Abba, Thank You For Choosing to Marry Eema
Yesterday, over 2500 people attended the funeral of Rabbi Achiad Ettinger HY”D, a rosh yeshiva and father of 12 who devoted his life to the Torah and the Jewish people.
In his eulogy, through tears, Rabbi Ettinger’s oldest son, Elyashiv, said these following final words to his father:
“Abba, I promise you that I will continue your legacy.
“They took you away from us, but not your spirit.
“They will not break us.
“Abba, I want to thank you. For who you were…
“And I also want to thank you for choosing a wife, for giving us a mother, who is a warrior, the strongest woman in the world.”
