The Terror Orphans’ Matchmaker
I wrote earlier this week about the moving wedding of two orphans of terror this past Sunday. And today I received an Email with an amazing footnote about how this match came to be.
One Family founder Chantal Belzberg wrote to tell me that, in fact, the couple met over 15 years ago through One Family’s monthly events for orphans of terror, as well as their retreats several times a year.
And then, 2 years ago, One Family sponsored a special trip to the United States for orphans who had lost both parents in a terror attack. And it was on that trip that the couple’s friendship turned romantic.
So mazal tov not only to the happy couple but also to the unexpected matchmaker, One Family.
