Rav Hillel Paley was my son’s cheder rebbe in 8th grade and had a major impact on him.
As well as being a talmid chacham and dedicated teacher, he is a musician and a very funny person.
He is also amazingly modest, scoffing all recognition for his talents and success.
A sincere, true Yid that I have learned so much from! I love hearing his niggun for “Ochila L’Kel” in shul on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. (and when listening to Ishay Ribo!)
I can totally hear Rav Paley’s voice telling this story.
