A Typical Yard in Baltimore I’m visiting my father who had cataract surgery this week in Baltimore. I get all choked up taking walks through the Jewish neighborhoods and seeing the yards, full of Israeli flags and signs like these. I am blessed with an incredible mother-in-law with a very unusual life story. Annette was born into a Catholic family in Germany in 1946, just a few months after the end of WWII. This morning I received a whatsapp urging me to attend the funeral of American lone soldier Rose Lubin HY”D, who was murdered while protecting the Jewish residents of the Old City earlier this week.
