Wow. This is SO true. Since having my sixth child I have had some terrible moments where I’m simply collapsed on a chair in my bedroom, sobbing, begging, desperate: and then I get this little voice in my head that says, “just get up and do something!!” And I kind of do this vigorous mental shake (imagine a dog shaking himself dry as he climbs out dripping from a pool, I feel a little like that), go and fold some washing or load the dishwasher, and then I’m OK.
