  1. remember the saying, “if mom ain’t happy, ain’t NOBODY happy” ?
that is soooo true for all of us. if we see that the kids are cranky, sniping at each other, if there seems to be perpetual storm clouds in the home, what we’re seeing is a projection of our own negative feelings. instead of wasting energy trying to cheer up the troops, it is best to cheer ourselves up. then our happy feelings will be projected onto the family and they will echo that, instead of echoing our negative feelings…

  2. I love you Chana Jenny :). Boy was I ready to hear this. It’s 11:30 and I’m still not done mopping up a plumbing disaster, that’s unexplained, we’ve spent a ton trying to fix and which sees our poor neighbors repeatedly suffering from as water appears on their ceiling. Oh yes, the floors are scarily slippery and dangerous, kids have been falling down all night, and as this is an ongoing tzaros, the towels are still damp from last time. PLUS! it was the first day of gan and kitah Aleph for 2 of my gorgeous girls today, and I’ve sat through hours of school stuff, falling horribly behind on my work. Don’t forget! There’s now polio in the sewers also, so chas ve halila, I’d better find the pinkasim (shot records) and take the, all in tomorrow to get protected. Just another day. Not complaining, tfu, tfu, tfu..but ready to be a Happy Mummy again.
Keep up the good work, you certainly inspired me.

  3. Thank you Chana Jenny! Your words validate my feelings so well, i couldn’t stop smiling! Part of the “weapons” we need to fight the “war” is validation and the feeling of not being alone. It is so healing to hear you speak! lots of Bracha and Koach to you and to all Jewish Mom’s, Shana Tova!
