Avner Netanyahu Joins IDF as Combat Soldier
Proud father Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu blessed his second son, Avner: “Watch over the country, and watch out for yourself” as he and his wife, Sara, bid him farewell yesterday as he began his military service as a combat soldier.
The most religious member of his immediate family, Avner won 3rd place in the International Bible Quiz two years ago, and made headlines last year when he requested to put on tefillin at a synagogue during an official visit to China (photographed below).
