My thoughts go to A Maskil of the Sons of Korah, Psalm 42 . . “ma tishtochachi nafshi vtehemi alai?” Why so downcast, my soul? “chochili HASHEM” – PUT YOUR TRUST IN HASHEM. You are so right, there are many different reasons for our depressed moods, yet, for me, the greatest remedy is putting my trust in Hashem. My down mood might be caused by fear about finances, or worry for the children . . . maybe some concern about my husband, or his work. When I turn my eyes on Hashem, instantly my perspective is lifted to an eternal viewpoint. In light of eternity, these problems seem much smaller. Only Hashem can bring me true peace, comfort, encouragement, wisdom, and help.

    • I know what you mean, the first trimester for me was also torture. I guess the main thing is just focusing on the miracle of what is happening– and that within a few weeks IY”H it will be over.
