Singing in the Train! $4200 Wedding Gift Found in Israeli Train Station

Yesterday, a Jewish couple, tourists from Paris, burst into the office of Haifa’s train station manager, frantic that they had lost 4,200 euros ($4772) they were bringing to Netanya as a present for their grandson’s wedding next week.

The shift manager launched an extensive search operation and after a few minutes, the lost item was located by vigilant train crew members at the Haifa station where the couple had boarded and was handed over to them.

“We are residents of Paris who visit Israel every several months,” Avraham Turgeman related. “Yesterday morning we set out for Netanya to bring this wedding gift to my grandson, a new immigrant from France… I sincerely thank the shift manager and the train crew for saving the wedding gift. ”

The manager responded, “I am happy that I was able to locate and save the wedding gift. But I was excited most of all when the couple gave me a special blessing in Moroccan: ‘La Ittak Erda Yabnini,’ which means may you be healthy and may all your wishes come to fruition…”

Just like the Turgemans’ wish to find the lost money did, thanks to the help of some goodhearted folks at Israel Railways.
