Mazal Tov! A Baby Girl Born To Mother of Rena Schnerb HY”D

Yesterday Shira Shnerb gave birth to a baby girl 8 months after the murder of her daughter, Rena, in a terror attack last August.
Rabbi Eitan Schnerb told Arutz Sheva, “We found out about the pregnancy during the Shiva, and that helped us to recover. God heals us.
“They asked in the delivery room if we would name her Rena, and we said, ‘Of course not!’ What, so then we would have 2 daughters named Rena? It’s true that Rena has left us in body, but the feeling is that she is still with us. If anybody has an idea for a name, we’d be happy to hear.”
Shira Schnerb added, “We feel that God hears prayers.”
Rabbi Eitan continued with emotion, “This new baby girl represents life and victory over the forces of evil that try to destroy us in every generation. The birth of this baby came between Yom HaShoah and Yom HaZikaron. Both my wife and I came from homes of Holocaust survivors, and then we experienced the terror of those murderers 8 months ago when our dear daughter Rena HY”D was murdered.”
