My Video that Inspired my Next-Door Neighbor to Make Aliya to Jerusalem
This past summer, a lovely French family with 5 little kids moved into the home right next door to ours. For weeks before I’d even met them, I was excited about our future neighbors. For the first time my young kids would have friends to play with, right next door!
When I meet English-speaking mothers, I’m used to the fact that many of them have heard of JewishMOM.com. But I was downright shocked when, the first time I met my new neighbor, Sarah, she said, “You have a blog, right? JewishMOM.com?”
How did this French-speaking mother know about JewishMom.com?
I was shocked to find out that JewishMOM.com, and this little video I made 13 years ago, played a central role in bringing Sara and her wonderful family (including my 8-year-old son’s new best friend, Eliyahu) to Jerusalem!
Watch the video to hear Sarah tell the incredible story of the connection between her aliya 8 years ago and this little video I made 13 years ago about my dear friend, Rabbanit Judy Brodt.
And here’s the original video that inspired Sarah featuring Aharon Razel’s song “Shabbat at Last”
WONDERFUL, B’H!!!
Now I need a video to inspire my husband to go!
