Secular Israelis Flood Blood Banks in Wake of Meron Tragedy


On Friday, dozens of secular Israelis waited over an hour and a half at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv to donate blood to the largely Charedi victims of the Meron tragedy. They were joined by hundreds of blood donors from around Israel who donated over 2000 pints of blood. The response was so quick and overwhelming that Magen David Adom requested that people stop coming to donate blood. Charedim, Religious, Traditional, Secular joining together as sisters and brothers. Am Yisrael united to assist one another at this time of suffering.
