Modern Maccabees
A powerful speech by Battalion Commander Boaz Schwartz before his soldiers entered combat in Gaza. He reminds them (and us) of the IDF soldiers’ important place in history, following in the footsteps of the Maccabees and other Jewish heroes, and a future source of inspiration for their descendants. When my daughter saw me editing this video, she said, “He’s my friend’s dad, you know!
