Nova Survivor Crushes Glass Under Chuppah with Prosthetic Leg
Ben and Gali got engaged shortly before Simchat Torah, but at the Nova festival they were both injured by terrorists and lost their right legs. It took them many months to recover, and to celebrate their wedding last month.
For me, this chuppah encapsulates the Jewish people today. The mixture of sadness and joy. Of injury and healing. Of loss and new beginnings. Mazal tov to Ben and Gali! Am Yisrael Chai!
