World’s Oldest Jewish Woman’s Longevity Secret?: “My Wonderful Children!”
2 months before her 115th birthday, the oldest Jewish woman in the world, Goldie Steinberg of Long Island, passed away this month.
Born in 1900, she moved to the United States at age 23 after surviving the Kishinev Pogroms. When a reporter asked Goldie the secret of her long life at her 112th birthday, Goldie kvelled, “My wonderful children!”
