Guess What Danish Kids Ask Their Moms For at the Supermarket Checkout…
Here’s some cool things I’ve seen for the first time in my life this week during our family trip to Copenhagen…
Instead of the candy and chocolate bars by the supermarket checkout that make your children beg “Eema, pleeeaase can I have some M&M’s??” Danish children get FREE FRUIT!
50% of Copenhagen’s residents commute by bike, which means the city’s bike lanes are full of thousands of bikes, including many parents with children.
And don’t worry, Hans Christian Andersen lived here, but not all the ducklings are ugly…
Just as not all the cauliflowers are white…
And not all the carrots are orange…
And not all the cherry tomatoes are red…
But EVERY Jewish woman and man (I was reminded by these matching king-queen crowns of the Danish royal family–also something I’ve never seen before) is royalty.
Treasured daughters and sons of the ONLY true King.
Enjoy your summer! (IY”H I hope to return to regular posting next Sunday:)

Those crowns are actually for the king and queen, not the king and prince 🙂
ah, whoops…thanks for the correction
