    Referencing the comment above. You can actually listen to the audio of that farbrengen with the Rebbe telling the story and the crowd erupting in Hu Ra… you can feel something happening in heaven.

    I am so glad that Esty recommended this article! It is written by Reb Hillel Zalzman, a Jew who lived a frum life under the nose of the communists. I highly recommend his book,” Samarkand”, to anyone who is interested in how Jews survived as frum Jews under the Communists in Russia.
