Ukrainian Non-Jews Credit Jewish Prayer for Military Miracles

When I first saw this, I was skeptical. Why would Ukrainian Christians believe in Jewish prayers more than their own? But this turns out to be a wide-spread belief (learn more here  https://www.timesofisrael.com/in-one-ukrainian-city-christians-ask-the-rabbi-to-pray-for-them/) Now if only we Jews would start believing in the power of our own prayers as much as these non-Jews do! Please pray for peace in the Ukraine!

Those who have been to kivrei tzadikim in the Ukraine will often see great respect for the holy places as well as prayers by the goyim there. My teacher told us how on one trip to the Baal Shem Tov, a non Jew with her children who had apparently had a picnic nearby, came into the tzion and all kissed the grave of Baal Shem Tov before continuing on their way. Also in an interview this week with one of the Jews who decided to stay in Uman, he described how Ukrainian soldiers came into Rabbi Nachman’s tzion and said the tikkun hacllai in Ukrainian.
