I love Jerusalem Day. It’s an important day for me, since 29 years ago, when I first came to Israel to study at the Pardes Institute, I went downtown on Jerusalem Day and saw crowds of religious kids dancing with Israel flags.

I was just starting to become religious at the time, but seeing those kids was a game changing ah-hah moment of my life. I knew with such clarity that THAT was what I wanted, kids who are deeply connected with Judaism and Israel. And b”H, I found and married a man who shared my dream. And 29 years later, it’s our own children downtown dancing their hearts out with Israeli flags on Jerusalem Day
